I started guitar when I was about 3 but it was to hard to press down the chords so I quit. I started again when I was 7 years old, and guess what? I’ve never even taken a real guitar lesson! My dad teaches me, and we jam together all the time. I have a cool black guitar—because Taylor Swift has one, and I thought it looked awesome. Even though I get really nervous before performing, I’ve already played in front of people at a restaurant during a School of Rock show, in my second grade classroom, and even on a playground! I know lots of chords like C major, D major, G major, A major, A minor, B major, E major, and E minor. I also play scales, bar chords, and power chords like a real rock star. One time, I even made my own song from scratch using GarageBand! Playing guitar makes me feel proud, creative, and brave—even when I’m a little scared.
